Problems opening my indash panasonic cqvx100u.

Hello, sometimes when I get into the car and try to open my screen it won't extend all the way out and goes back in the radio. Could this possibly be because of the weather in Detroit, Mi or a malfunctioning unit. Just bought the unit in November 2008. Please help... Also, where can I get a remote control for this unit?

Definitly can be due to extreme cold weather. That's why I leave mine open! Try this, when the heat in the car gets warm inside, does it perform better?

Checked Panasonic's website for a remote, but part was not listed. You can call them at National Parts Center at 800-833-9626

Hope that helped you.

Hi chevymetal. I would agree with LVT and say check to see if the unit preforms better with heat. Regardless, if you bought it in Nov 2008, take it back to get looked at while it is still under warrenty (1 Year)

Also, i am having a HELL of a time finding a remote for the unit. Just spoke with Panasonic Canada and they took a day to investigate with their answer being the manual was a mis print (as it talks about a remote control) and there is none avaliable for the unit.

I have tried a few panasonic remotes on it with no luck... I dont understand fully, because on the front of the unit you can see the IR housing. Id be curious to remove it and see if there is actually a sensor behind it, or if it is blank and they just used the same design from another model, but didnt add the IR option.

I am waiting for a call back from the US customer service regarding the remote, I will write back if I find anything...

Chevy cavalier 2005 87000 miles remote flakey, odometer won't display milage but will display trip data?

Hello William,

The key fobs are wearing out and need to be replaced. Sometimes taking them apart and cleaning the switch contacts and battery contacts will extend their lives but they are not built to last.

I believe your vehicles ECU sends the mileage data to the instrument panel cluster...in which the LCD odometer display has failed.

Panasonic DMC-FX33 has operated perfectly for 3 + years. Suddenly, when turning on, camera displays message "Please turn camera off and then on again". Lens cluster 'twitches' but does not extend out....

Hello. If you suspect this is a lens problem ,I agree. I've had good results tapping the camera into the palm of my hand while its trying to open. Also try conecting your transfer cable to the camera and then press the power button, this keeps the viewing screen turned off sending full power to the lens mechanism. Lastly, and I should have mentioned it first,If you have a piece of exposed photo film, cut a small strip and work it in the gaps between the lens barrels to try to remove anything which may be stuck in there

Panasonic dvd deck bypass

For the manual.
An authorized dealer is required by service agreement to install this wire to the parking brake which creates a ground when applied. The shadetree installer, however can hook to ground anywhere on the vehicle. I would recommend to put it on a hidden switch,as it is illegal to have a video in view of the driver.... and you can turn it off quickly if/when pulled over!

Your deck

I've sent it to Panasonic Service Center but I've made my decision to buy a new branded indash by JVC. It's good till now but this one doesn't have a touch screen.
