No light on Alpine MRP-M1000

I was driving the other day, decided to crank up a portion of a song that had some bass and a few seconds of thumping later the sub-woofer cut out all together. When I had a chance to go into my trunk a little later noticed that the blue light on the sub amp (M1000) doesn't even turn on anymore. Checked the 4 fuses on it and they look fine. Also checked the power connection and everyting is tight. (other amp on same power supply is working fine) Any thoughts? This is a fairly new amp I just got a few months ago (brand new). Would love any help...

About Power supply wires (MRP-M1000 only)

• 21mm2 is the minimum power and ground cable size

that should be used to connect this amplifier. The

length of these cables should not exceed 1m to assure

safe operation.

• If the length of the power and ground cables exceed

1m, or if you connect more than one amplifier, a distribution

block should be used with 33mm2 or 53mm2

power and ground cables depending on the length

necessary. Ensure that you install a correctly-rated

in-line fuse on the power cable near the battery positive

post.

There is a smell in my car every time I play my system for long periods of time. Its a burning smell. Everything is wired correctly and I have a separate battery in the back of my car to power my subs. I...

The problem could either be the amp over-heating or the subs could be over-heating as well. One of my friends owns an Alpine MRD-M1005, and one day they decided to clean it inside and out and realized they had some burnt spots on the circuit board, although they never smelt anything burning, and the amp still works fine.... As for the lights dimming you should probably buy a power Capacitor, atleast a 1 Farad or larger.

Hope this helps.

I haw alpine mrp-m350 amplifier how many sub can i

Hook up the MRP-M350 to one 4-ohm sub, and you get 200 watts RMS; connect a second 4-ohm subwoofer and the power output increases to 350 watts! All that juice means that your subs won't just be loud, they'll sound clean and thumping.

Amplifier wont move subs

I dont know if this will help you but start at the deck and make sure that the outputs(RCA) arent crossed over to highpass and do the same at the amp make sure that its set for lowpass- set half gain -bass boost half gain- subsonic minimum - If that doesnt help try using an i pod with an adaptor that you can play it right into the amp this is to see if you are getting signal from the deck to the amp if it doesnt work with an i pod or mp3 plugged directly into it then you may have got you a blown amp going on- good luck with that

When i turn up the volume in my car and the bass comes on the amp shuts off

You need a bigger amp or smaller speakers.
The speakers are pulling more power than the amp can supply.
