Hi received my sd-532hd5 from my brother-in-law. When I set it up in my house it seemed to be working fine. However I noticed that the picture seems to be chopped off at either side. For instance... The channel logo is only half there and looks like if I only had another inch of screen I could see everything.

Re: Off Screen Picture
There is a width problem. There could be a control inside to control this but the TV should not change so drastically. There is most likely a problem in the width circuit.. This is a high voltage circuit, and is very dangerous to tinker or experiment around inside of. Your best bet would be to call an Authorized Pioneer repair shop and have them have a look at the set. Good Luck

now in the front of your tv you will see a weird piece of wood that looks like it doesent belong now its a piece of wood in the front of your tv sicured by a few screws and 2 dowels and inside you will see 2 circut bourds infront of you and a few more behind them , you will also see some connections to the botom of the projectors themselves , now you need to look to your left side and on your left you will see a little black or white casing with what looks to be 6 screws on it , but there not screws there the adjustments for your tv now just fiddle with those 6 screws til you can find your favorite color or setting and close it back up and ENJOY!!!!
Ok you must be using a a/v cable at your house? And the hdmi cable at your brother in laws? If this is the problem its not the xbox hdmi cable. It doesnt matter all hdmi cables work the same. Its your settings. You need to hold you power button down and it should come on and beep twice then release it and a settings menu should pop up if it doesnt hold the power button down until it comes on and shuts off then hold the power button down again until it beeps twice. Hope this helps.
You have a pincushion correction problem. This is not an easy problem to troubleshoot.Even as a technician I find that schematics are usally needed to correct these problems.I reccomend that this unit need to be checked by a qualified service technician.I can give you a ballpark figure of cost of repair of any where between $185.00-$325.00.Good luck.
This sounds like a picture mode issue. You maybe in a ZOOM mode. Try adjusting your set to FULL mode. If you are using a Sat receiver or cable box, some of these may have picture viewing mode as well, wich may need to be set in FULL or NORMAL viewing mode.
The problem you are describing is known as a pincushoin problem. I'm a bit surprized that you only see it on the 1080i signal though. I've inquired at my Pioneer contact about this and will update this soon.
