How was the phrase used to you?

Are you referring to the SATA data cables?
Are you referring to the IDE (PATA) cable?

Is this a reference to 'Boot Strap'?

Turn off computer

• Open side of computer (unscrew two screws holding side of computer, slide foward)
• Unplug wires into burner
• Put in new burner.
• Turn on computer
• Install softwear

Also, make sure the drive isnt hanging up on the face of the computer.

Start the simple route: uninstall and reinstall the printer and its software. If the software is old, head to the printer manufacturer's website and download the latest driver package.
Meanwhile, track back to when the print spooler worked successfully. Was there any new software installed that may have caused the problem? A possible update from Windows, perhaps?

Try to update bios n check it out..

If you have a virus/spyware which it sounds like you do, you are going to be paying $200 for removal and about 129$ for a standard security setup! It will be cheaper to fix the problem, You are looking around a min. of $400 for a new pc and $149 for the full advanced security! Cheaper to fix it.

hmmm..old card should just remove with one screw along back panel, unless it's the embedded version

go to control panel, system, device manager, and let me know what it says under audio devices.

big issue with compaq is that not all slot cards are compatible..

this is something that can be handled with a Shared Screen session, if you like.
