Message sending failed

Not sure about what is wrong... message sending always fails even if no network problem (checked sim in another phone.. no problem)... call and sms can come in and call go out but no sms goes out. Error message instantaneous...

Thanks but done all that... finally the problem was that the sent message folder was full and batch deleting was not successful. The message in the folder has to be deleted one by one and the problem was fixed...

Message sending failed.

Solution : Delete all message in Sent Item one by one. Problem solved

i have the same problem but i already deleted all the texts at once when i first got the phone.
it was someone else's before so it was all there messages on it.
when i text it says saved for sending.. but when i go to drafts or outbox it's either there and still won't send or it's not there at all.

When I try to send a text message, or reply to one, I recieve an error message saying that the message could not be sent to my contact. Then, when i look to see why, it says general problems cause error:96. What do i do to fix this?

I checked with a lot of sims and center numbr also checked...! deleted ma inbox and send items too.. but is not at all working.. as soon as i click the send option, instantly its coming as sending failed....!

noww wat to dooooo.... pls help me....!

Go to the send messages and delete it 1 by 1 then try to send message it will work perfectly BOOYAH!

Hello,

I had faced the same issue some time back and I got it fixed, the reasons could be the following(either one or both):
1. Service Provider Setting (Call your customer care to get info on the same.
2. Memory full.

To work around this I,

1. Did factory restore ( ensure you back up your contacts from phone to sim ,if your current sim is full use some other to load the contacts)
2. Deleted all sent messages (one by one) and a few from drafts(Still had a few messages in inbox and drafts)
3. Restarted phone by removing SIM and replacing it.

Things worked. Hope this can be useful to someone.

Bakit po hindi ako makapag send . message sending failed . help naman po jan kunq sino marunong turuan nyo naman ako please .

Pleace call your coustomar care and get the massage sending numbar and put it to the mobile massage setting then send massage to other phone. thank you avijit mobile and computer expart

I cannot recieve or send picture messaging when my aunt pays for the picture messaging. It always says "Sending failed. Unknown error. Retry?" and it never works. I even set the mms settings but...

Take it into the wireless retailer you got it from. They will help. It might just be your SIM card- mine was doing the same thing; they told me it was defective.

Then text messages

Then to options

Then SIM Messages

Then delete the SIM Messages.

The memory after deleting sim messages is empty,and you dont need to delete any application

Cannot send message.always message sending failed. but i have outgiong calls and incoming message. then when i put my sim card to other phones, it works smoothly. it can send messages

Hi,

If you happen to have another sim card with you, can we try to use that sim card and see if the phone will send.
Or your sim card on another phone.

-This is to identify for sure is the issue with the phone or sim..

-If you cant send using another phone then get you sim changed or check with your operator.

-If you are able to send on another phone then you may wanna try resetting your phone by following these steps:

- A restore by keying in *#7780# when on standby - This will not delete any data but will restore all the settings back to default.

If that does not help then you may wanna try doing a soft reset by keying in *#7370# when on standby - This will reformat the phone. DO NOT FORGET TO DO A BACK UP AS THIS WILL ERASE YOUR ENTIRE PHONE MEMORY.

The security code by default is 12345

If this fails as well then you may try doing the Hard reset by performing the 3 finger reset. You can do this by switching the phone on with the '3', '*' and green 'call' buttons pressed at the same time.

My lg enV VZX9900 will not send picture messages or recieve them it keeps saying message reciept failed

Hi, the cause of message failed it's related to your sim card (network), not your samsung cell phone. In most cases, regarding text messages, the problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the sim card on another phone? If not, remove the sim card, insert it on another phone and try sending a message from another mobile to you number, or you can do it in vise versa by inserting another sim card on your mobile.

If you can't receive text messages even it's inserted on another handset, then you need to call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.

You can check the message center number, but I don't think it's very much important in your case, well, if you wanna try, just check the text message settings and verify that the message center number (which is currently in use) is the same number which is on another phone with the same network (the other sim should be of the same network in your area). If it's different, make the changes and save the settings. Also disable the "Receive Via" or similar settings.. (I can't recollect the exact settings as i don't have the same model with me, please excuse me for this.).

If the same sim card doesn't receive text messages using another handset, don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it, first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.

Does the phone has a signal bar? If it can make or receive a call?

*****If it is with good signal and can make a call. It is not the phone's problem.

2. Many cell phones can only work with GSM network. Please make sure that you are not using a 3G SIM card.
Click to check your SIM frequency: http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo or call your provider to confirm it.

*****After these actions, pls try the following instructions. It is only need to do some setting to get SMS.

**Turn on the phone, "setting"→"Restore factory settings" →enter the password:you'll find it on your user manual.
**Call your provider to get a SMS service center number for filling SMS setting. (you may get the number by searching it on the carrier's wesite)
NOTE: you might have to enter the number as +1(XXX)XXX-XXXX for gsm.
For instance, (+12063130004) should be +1(206)313-0004 (this is for T-mobile)

When i send a message atonce it gives the response "message sending failed." message is not sending from my mobile phones. please provide me solution to solve this problem.

Delete messages in sent items.It should work now..... If not make sure that message centr no. is the right one. Contact customer care if u dont know message centr no. If problem persists, use some other handset and try sending message.If message sending fails in other handsets too then priblem is related to SIM or network.Complain to the customer care.Wait for their response.If the network is OK,then the last option is to apply for replacement with a new SIM .!!!

Sending text messages...

Hi julietdb,

This sometimes occurs when a SIM card has gone wrong.
Go to Messages, Settings, Text Message, Service Centre

Then, call your ISP, ask for the SMS Service center number.
Then, verify that it is the one written in the location I gave you.
If not, replace it with the number you were given.

In case it is - there's probably something wrong with the SIM card and it needs to be replaced.
