When it's turned off of display , the light on my monitor blinks but the screen doesn't display anything. Why might this be happening, and how can I fix it? if it is monitor problem?

Most probably the Power Supply, generally is in these things... perhaps the Electrolytic Capacitors have Dried out and gone bad and need to be replaced, often all I do is replace every large Electro on the Power Board, (Often with much higer Temperature and spec Caps) and that "Fixes" it..

I tried to install this monitor to my Dell Pentium 4 Processor, 2.20 GHz w/400 MHz Computer but it has no picture!! The computer comes on but no picture! There are buttons on the front of it that say menu exit etc but nothing will work!!! It only had one connection from the back of the computer and then to the tower and no electric plug like my old Dell Monitor did so am wondering if it is not adaptable to my computer because of that???...Thank you for your help...."Mike" J.
