Re: can not fas from officejet
Are you having a problem with the scanner portion of the machine? When you place the original to scan into the ADF or on the glass, do you get a scanner error message? These machines have a history of scanner motors going bad.

·Initially, you have to check any of the telephone line services are enabled. There are,

·Check whether the dialed number is correct or not. Every one of the digits required to make a telephone call from a similar line must be dialed.
·On the off chance that the Speed Dial has been used for dialing or the fax has been sent from your PC, print the page to be faxed and dial the number physically on the HP Fax front board.
·Check whether the Tone Dialing is set on you HP Fax product.
·In the event that faxes are sent effectively from the HP Fax front board, but, it's fail when sent from the PC, test the communication between the HP Officejet 4650 printer and your PC by tapping the Status button in the HP Director application, or attempting to print some record.
·If the printing fails to send the fax, then check whether all cables (from system to HP Officejet 4650 Printer) are connected properly, if it's not then connect it properly.
·Now restart it. On the off chance that communication still can't be set up, Call Printer customer service team via Toll-Free: +1-800-836-3987 to resolve your HP Officejet 4650 fax issues.
I've seen this many times before, when a customer / account gets a new fax machine, or is using a different fax machine. All the other faxes go through without a hitch, except for these. If fax machines become a couple generations apart / 10 years, they won'
t communicate sufficiently enough to make the fax hand shake and the Fax fails to go through.
You cannot print out a sent fax, but you can print a report that give you a status of all faxes sent and received.
Press Setup, press 1
Press > (the right arrow) until you get to "Fax Log"
Press OK to select the report.
On the Officejet`s control panel, Press Setup, then press 2, now press 3.
The panel will display the choice of Off, Print confirmation on Send, Print confirmation on recieve or Print on Send and Recieve. Select your choice.
