Question about Gaggia Titanium Espresso Machine
Hi. I've had my Titanium for 2 faultless years. I powered off the machine using the mains switch for a three day holiday and when on my return switched on again the machine started in 'Energy Saving' mode and would not respond to the menu/OK button. So I powered off again and the problem is worse - just a row of lit squares in the display, and completely unresponsive to any button combination I've tried. Does anyone know of a factory reset? Any ideas?
This problem seems to be more electrical device failure as opposed to micro controller confusion. I would look for a failed power supply component, possibly an overheated resistor that has changed value and caused power loss. Look for a browned-out area on a circuit board.

I have the same problem with the LCD showing Energy saving only, I push the menu button it jumps to self test then straight back to Energy Saving. I've opened the machine up, looked everywhere for a sign of overheating. It all looked good. I found some soot on a wire and followed it only to find the connections where clean. Anyone know how to reset the unit?
I have exactly the same problem now after powering the machine off for three days away. Did you get any solution to your case?
i know these posts was sent ages ago but i wonder is there any solution to this fault and how it can be fixed?

need to know if there is a factory reset
Same issue except I've seen this before a week ago. Appears to be a power supply issue, I'm guessing capacitors have dried out in power unit. Will investigate if I get chance ...
Same MO, display flickers and machine unresponsive when switched on. Flickered and tried to do it's "self test" failed and display eventually flickered and faded to appear off.
