The cord on this deep fryer is a electrical hazard waiting to happen. It will not stay in place and is arcing upon contact. This fryer has been used 4-6 times and always the same problem. Not to mention the leaking of the container for oil. Is there a fix for this or am I stuck with this. I purchased this unit from Canadian Tire and they won't do anything. Buyer beware I guess -- doesn't say much for the product.
Keep the connections clean where the plug meets the probes. You may have to prop up the plug so that it won't fall off or disconnect. Unfortunately, this is a poorly designed model and should have never gotten a UL label.
