Question about HP vs15 15"LCD Flat Panel Monitor
I have an hp vs15 that is about a year and a half old. It is showing only a black screen when turned on. The power light goes on and then off as if someone had turned it off manually. So, I unplugged it and then plugged it in again. I unhooked it from the back of my computer and then reconnected it and rebooted my computer. The only thing this accomplished is that the monitor power light now blinks as if it were in sleep mode. I still have no picture (black screen of doom). If anyone has any idea's or can offer any assistance it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Loss
My HP vs15 has this problem and the best solution I found short of buying a new monitor is to give the monitor a good whack on the top of the bezel, or to lift it to about six inches above the desk and brop it - I do it all the time.

I have no solution, but apparently that is about how long those monitors last. Ours just did exactly the sme thing at the same age.

Monitor is dead. The LCD inverter board probably went out and needs replacing. More than likely, it will cost you over $100 to get it fixed. It's better to spend the money on a new monitor.

Well mine lasted 4 years, but it did the same thing. One day i was on it normaly, then turned it off to do my thing and it didn't work, then when my bro came home from school he pressed it once and VWHALA it turnned on, so i cept it on without turning it off for about 7 mounths "Bad power saver" and when i moved it wouldn't turn back on. SOOOO! here i am sitting here talking to you guys.
Same problem. Manuf Nov 06 and now it has a black screen. Obvious the signal is being received but no backlight.
