SOURCE: Casablanca Intellitouch Fan was working fine..

Sounds like either the IT wall switch has malfunctioned, OR the IT board inside of the fan has shorted out. This is actually a fairly rare problem with the boards and you may get it covered under warranty. Try calling Casablanca. This fan is worth repairing rather than buying a new one.

SOURCE: I have a Casablanca Panama

There are different parts that might became bad and cause your problem like relay contact, starting capacitor, running capacitor. However all these parts are included in one unit the PCB printed circuit board or electronic board? So you need to replace this parts in attached link is also called RMM.

We have here below a link with service manual for the fan at which on the bottom you will find the parts diagram and parts list. You should try to confirm the part code for your model with Casablanca service department before confirmation of order.

Also please note that you will need a little experience with electronics before proceeding with above operation.

How do I remove the glass globe on a 70" Casa Vieja Coastline Modern Contemporary fan?

To remove the glass globe on a 70" Casa Vieja Coastline Modern Contemporary fan, you need to follow these steps:

Turn off the fan and wait for the blades to stop moving.
Locate the screws that hold the glass globe in place. These screws are usually located at the base of the globe.
Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws. You may need to turn them counterclockwise to loosen them.
Once the screws are loose, gently pull down on the globe to remove it from the fan.
If you have any trouble removing the globe, please refer to your user manual or contact Casa Vieja customer support for assistance.

The lights suddenly stopped working. It is only about 2 years old. When you turn the switch on they will briefly come on and then go off.

Hello Lisa Gray James,

I had the luxury of having a couple of old Casa Blanca fans in the house when ours went kaput (but the point I will try to make
is quite portable... between MANUFACTURERS.

Typically most wall controlled fans are designed to work over a standard light-switch circuit. the ADDITIONAL functions are accomplish through EACH vendors own proprietary switch-fan interface... (in the Casa Blanca case I am attaching below) they use their "RF" signals from their switch... and the control boards emit audible tone to make the user confident something is working.

I had NOT yet discovered the availability of the replacement unit below... but by swapping the living-room switch with the bedroom switch I was able to prove the trouble to Casa Blanca's 21Z2 control board (inside the fan)

Old style 21Z2: no longer available

Inteli Touch Circuit Board RMM 9901120 or 7801240

is manufacture discontinued (Inteli-Touch & Inteli-Touch II)

but the replacement units (Inteli-Touch 3) will work nicely...
Casa Blanca recommended that BOTH the switch (W32)
and control board should be changed... I complied.

(saved my good W12 switch as a spare)

BUT DO NOT hesitate to call the FAN MAN to discuss your options and needs... it looks like a multi vendor site... and I have also seen them on AMAZON.COM
