No Picture I notice that a similar problem has been posted by others, I just don't understand televisions so I am posting this. Recently our television has no picture, and no front display button lights. There seems to be a high pitch sound eminating from the television. The sound (thus far) is clear. Can someone suggest what may be the problem and how to repair if possible. Thank you.

Why would the radio/sat nav/climate screen shut down and start up randomly. When shut down scree goes blank and then returns to BMW screen

Oddly enough something similar recently happened to my 2009 650i recently purchased. The system would intermittently cut out and restart, turning on the radio even with another source selected or radio off. No idea if there is a short or software issue causing it, but it started when I put the navigation DVD in and tried to use it. Took the DVD out and restarted the system, problem hasn’t returned. I’ve read about others having similar issues with the navigation system causing the radio/idrive to cut out as well. It’s a long shot, but worth posting so others don’t spend money chasing a problem solved by using your smartphone instead of the car’s navigation.

Whenever I open up a link I get a click (1x1) message and the link wont open.

Although you're all noticing similar symptoms, keep in mind that there are a multitude of different root causes that could be going on here. This is illustrated in the fact that different workarounds resolve this issue for some of you, while not working for others. Some of you also mention specific error messages, while others are saying pages simply just don't load. These point to different causes.
In addition, the issues being posted recently on this thread are likely not related to the original post created in late 2008. As a result, I'll be closing this thread. Feel free to start a new thread if the suggestions in the article below don't help.
@teen - Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) is an antivirus and firewall program. It has been known to prevent Google Chrome from working properly in some cases. You can resolve this by upgrading to SEP 11 MR4: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2008121712452848

Warped Picture & color alignment

This is a convergence problem. I had a similar set recently that was fixed by resoldering poor connections at the flyback transformer and replacing a blown pico fuse located there as well. I will look up my records to get the specific fuse location and post later.

Razr only works on speakerphone

The other post refers to the process that allows you to use speaker only, instead of automatically selecting earpiece. Unfortunately, this will not resolve your issue, as it appears that your earpiece has a loose connection and must be repaired, or you can continue to use speakerphone, bluetooth (if capable), or wired headset.

TV Powers on and then shuts down and attempts to start again

Remove all connections from the tv other than rf cable. This is an hdmi lockup problem sometimes related to component video inputs depending on firmware version.
