Well I've had my JVC cd player for about a year now and it has worked flawlessly...until now. About a week ago it would just randomly cut out. I could be parked or driving and it will "restart" at random times. I noticed that it would do it at bumps too, but then it will also do it when im sitting still, with the car not moving at all. I thought it might be the battery so i tried cleaning up all the connections but it didn't help anything. I also tried resetting the player but that did no good either. It probably only does it maybe once every 15 minutes to a half an hour of driving. So it's not like it's cutting out every few seconds.

I had the same problem, it occurred after my battery had run flat. To
fix it you need to reset the unit. To do this, remove the clip-off
fascia, and on the main body of the unit there small hole, just to the
left of the connector. Push a narrow pointed object such as a pen nib
into this hold until you feel the click. The unit is now reset and
should be working properly. You'll have to retune your saved radio
stations, but the cd player should now be working.
Nope. Its getting to the end of its days. I'm guessing by your description you tend to play your music loudly like I do. Well when you do that it causes vibration. Vibration+electronics=Short life span.
