Water issues xda atom exec went thru washing machine. when charging top light goes orange but cannot switch on. no insurance / warranty on product. is it repairable? I believe it was on when it went thru machine. many thanks.

Bapak pake operator apa? Biasanya tiap operator memakai kebiasaan buruk sendiri2 ( membuat set up yang berbeda beda satu dgn lainnya). Di Indonesia sebaiknya bapak ke kantor cabang operator saja, suruh dia setting dan bapak tinggal nunggu saja. Biasanya akan butuh penyettingan user name, password( kadang ini gak ada), Proxy dsb. Perform a hard-reset.

At the expense of your data-loss,
atleast you get your device working back.


To perform a hard-reset on your O2 Xda Atom,
Keep pressed the POWER key, and then perform soft reset. After the device this leave everything and confirm that you want to hard-reset as shown on the screen.

I think the problem is your battery... and you think that your battery is OK then you can try charging it the computer through USB.

Couple of things you can try to fix the issue, firstly try a hard reset

To perform a hard reset, use the stylus while pressing into the reset hole, press the power on/off button at the same time. Screen will prompt you to press the Green call and Red end call button together to confirm on hard resetting the device. *Note: Hard resetting the device will cause the device to be reset back to its original factory default settings and all data will be lost

Try that and if it doesnt resolve the issue then we can try another solution

I have the same problem. What I did several time is to actually shut down the phone, remove the battery and leave it like that for several hours (3 to 4 hours). Then, I put the battery back in the phone, and it would charge again. However, due to the long time with no battery, the phone's clock would be reset to January 2007.

I found no other work around right now. However, I have to do this more and more often, almost once a week ...
