I've had my Dell Inspiron 6400 for about a year and a half now . It has been working absolutely fine for me. Since about 4 day ago, the battery
has been doing some abnormal operation. it is fully charged, but when i disconnect the AC power adapter plug, power meter icon on taskbar shows 100% charging. i examine many times that battery is showing 100% charging, but after 15 to 20 minutes, battery goes down. It shows 90% to 100%
power. I could not understand what is the problem with my battery. Plz help me to solve this problem.

What i would suggest is to check the bios there may be a new flash download on the dell website, my wife has a inspiron 1525, which is plugged in and says not charging, the battery will not go above 0%, but we have had to send it to dell (still under warranty) faulty motherboard. if the bios is up to date, there could be a hardware issue with the battery or motherboard
