This is for ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) on top of the printer.
Turn off the device and unplug the power cord.
Open the ADF cover.
Press the round blue button while lifting the green lever. Rotate the green lever until it stops in the open position. The pickup roller assembly should remain on the surface.
Remove the assembly, and then wipe the assembly with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
Replace the assembly, with the largest roller down, in the upright holder, and then press until the assembly snaps into place.
Make sure that both sides of the assembly are secured by the blue hooks.
Lower the roller assembly, and then close the ADF cover.NOTE:
If jams continue in the ADF, contact a local HP-authorized service provider.
Loosen off the rear roller adjustment bolts, 10 turns each side counterclockwise. Remove the motor drive belt. The front roller should now be removable. If you have difficulties, back off the rear roller adjustment bolts 3-4 turns further. Keep track of how many counterclockwise turns so you are able to readjust the belt after replacing the front roller pulley assembly. Repeat the instructions in reverse once the front roller is in position.
