Activity log I need to print an activity log for outgoing faxes. When I press report and choose #3 it gives me only the last 9. How can I go back further?

How to print a report

1 Press Reports.

2 Press ? or ? to select the report you want.
Press Menu/Set.
-OR-
Enter the number of the report you want to print.
For example, press 2 to print the Help List.


Following reports are available

1.Transmission
Prints a Transmission Verification Report for your last transmission.

2.Help List
Prints the Help List so you can see at-a-glance how to quickly program your machine.

3.Quick-Dial
Lists names and numbers stored in the One-Touch and Speed-Dial memory, in numerical order.

4.Fax Journal
Lists information about the last incoming and outgoing faxes. (TX means Transmit.) (RX means Receive.)

5.User Settings
Lists your settings.

6.Network Config (MFC-7225N only)
Lists your Network settings.

Using the Reports Key
Five reports are available:
1 HELP LIST: Prints the Menu Table so you can see at-a-glance how to quickly program every menu selection.
2 AUTO DIAL: Lists names and numbers stored in Speed Dial and One Touch Dial (FAX models only) memory, in numerical order.
3 FAX ACTIVITY: Lists information about the last 200 incoming and outgoing faxes. TX means Transmit; RX means Receive.
4 TRANSMISSION: (CONFIRMATION) Prints a Transmission Verification Report for your last transmission.
5 USER SETTINGS: Lists settings for GENERAL SETUP, SETUP RECEIVE, SETUP SEND, SETUP REPORTS, and TEL SERVICE.
The settings for REMOTE FAX OPT are included.

Follow the steps below to print Fax Logs for already received faxes

1. Press Setup , and then press 2 . This displays the Print Report menu.
2. Press the Right arrow button to scroll through the following report types:
   • Fax Report Setup: prints the automatic fax reports as described in Generate reports automatically.
   • Last Transaction: prints details of the last fax transaction.
   • Fax Log: prints a log of approximately the last 30 fax transactions.
   • Speed Dial List: prints a list of programmed speed-dial entries.
   • Self-Test Report: prints a report to assist in diagnosing print and alignment problems.
3. After the desired report is highlighted, press OK .

You can print an activity report by pressing FUNCTION, 7, 2, START. That will give you the last 30 faxes sent and received, It will only show that you dialed though, it will not be a true verification report. In case you need it, you can download the manual for your fax here:

It's possible to print a Fax Activity report which would show both incoming and outgoing fax activity. To do this, do the following:

1. Press Reports
2. Use arrow keys < > to select 3. Fax Activity
3. Press Set

If Fax Activity hasn't been set up, do the following:

Setting the Fax Activity Report Interval
You can set the machine to print activity reports at specific intervals (EVERY 50 FAXES, 6, 12, 24 hours, 2 or 7 days). If you set the interval to OFF, you can print the report by following the Steps in the next page.

1. Press Menu, 2, 4, 2.
2. Press or to choose an interval,
   and then press Set.
   (If you choose 7 days, the LCD prompts you to choose a day at which to begin
   the 7-day countdown.)

Bt pressing the report button and then selecting "activity report" and then pressing the set button( in the center of the bullseye). a list of the last 40 transactioons will be printed out. Unfortunately none of the canon series units go any further back in history.

I don't think there's a log you can print but you can do the following. Not quite what you want, but better than nothing...

You need to set the fax confirmation option to log faxes before you send anything. The default option is off, so you won't be able to get a fax log for anything you've already sent unfortunately.

1. Press Setup
2. Press 2 then press 1. This displays the Print Report menu
3. Select Fax Confirmation
4. Press to highlight one of the following, then press OK

Off Does not print a fax confirmation report when you send and receive faxes successfully. This is the default setting.
On Fax Send Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you send.
On Fax Receive Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you receive.
Send & Receive Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you send and receive.

Press MENU button, then 5 on the numbers keypad. you should be able to scroll through a list using the up and down buttons. #1 is the HELP LIST, #2 is AUTO DIAL, #3 is FAX ACTIVITY which shows LAST INCOMING AND OUTGOING faxes,#4 TRANSMISSION,prints a TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION REPORT of the last transmission. #5 USER SETTINGS lists your setting. To select your report, select the REPORT NUMBER, press SET, then START, to print

Do you mean to get the paper document back out of the machine? If it doesn't feed out automatically, it may need to be repaired.
If you mean that you want confirmation that a fax was sent, you can turn on the TX (Transmit) REPORT. This will print out the first page of a fax sent successfully.

1. Press the Additional Functions button.
2. Use the arrows to select FAX SETTINGS. Press the Set button.
3. Use the arrows to select REPORT SETTINGS. Press Set.
4. Use the arrows to select TX REPORT. Press Set.
5. Use the arrows to select OUTPUT YES. Press Set.
6. Press the Stop/Reset button.

The machine will automatically print an Activity Report after every 20 faxes (sent or received). If you want an Activity Report at any time:

1. Press the Function button.
2. Press Report button (number 03 on the left side of the keypad)
3. Use the arrows to select ACTIVITY REPORT.
4. Press the Set button.

i have read the manual end to end and I don't think you can.
Only thing I see is this.

Customizing your settings using the Lexmark Fax Solutions You can adjust the fax settings in the Lexmark Fax Solutions. These settings apply to the faxes you send or receive.

1. Click Start Programs Lexmark 7100 Series Lexmark Fax Solutions.
2. Click Adjust speed dial list and other fax settings.
   
3. Click each tab and change the settings as desired.
4. Press Save Settings after you finish your updates. Nothing is saved until you press this button.
5. Click Close.

Select when to print an activity report is the only close item I can find. Nothing whatsoever about a confirmation report.
