It is not advised to use your track spikes on hard surfaces for a number of reasons, firstly it will ruin them, a hard surface will wear down the spikes, secondly the spikes do not support the foot so it could cause problems with the foot area also the spikes would not penetrate the surface which could make it very slippery - do not use your track spikes on a hard surface.

problems. Your Achilles tendon, sometimes called the calcaneal tendon, connects
your calf muscles to your heel bone. A slow onset of pain that increases with
exertion is likely to be tendonitis, whereas a sudden pain may be a partial or
complete Achilles' tendon rupture. Achilles' tendons injuries are slow to heel
and, in the case of ruptures, can even require surgery.

Track spikes can be made from ceramic, metal and plastic and they are screwed into the bottom of the training shoes.
