Phone will not power on

I can not power on my phone. I took the battery out and shook it then put the batter back. It still did not power on.

There seems to be more than one problem. I got the phone to turn on then it would didn't seem to want to call out. I turned it off to take a flight and when I turned it on again everything worked. Then it apparently discharged really fast again. I am charging it now and wait to see what happens. I use one of those extended batteries.

I have discovered that the reason why my phone did not power on is because the battery is discharging at a rapid rate.

Here is the link to the user manual if you need it; http://www.motorola.com/Hellomoto/Master%20Lists/Product%20Manuals/Static%20Files/CA-EN/30277_E815EnglishUserGuide.pdf You need to hold the power on button for three seconds at least for the phone to turn on. Does you phone power on when you plug the charger in? check that the charger is working -if you don't have a multimeter to check it with, then the best way would be to find another identical charger to try. The battery could have failed - best way to test this is to find a friend with the same phone, or talk nicely to a cellphone store and see if you can try another battery. If you have a memory card, remove it and see if the phone will start (instructions on page 15 onwards in the manual). These cards sometimes fail or get corrupted, interfering with the phone's normal operation. Otherwise, the phone is almost certainly requiring service - is it still under warranty? If you need help finding a service centre, then please post back with your general location and we can hopefully help. If the warranty has run out, and you want to try a few things inside the phone, then please ask again and I can talk you through a couple of ideas. Hope this helps :)

You may have done permanent damage by putting the battery back in too soon. Remove the battery and put the phone in a warm dry place and leave it for week to dry out internally. Maybe it will work after that but you're most likely looking at having to replace it.

My alcatel one touch is stuck on emergency mode how do i get it off?

I took my batter and sim card out and put battery back in without sim. Next, turned on my phone and then back off; then removed cover and battery again. I then reinstalled the sim, battery, and cover. Turned it back on then it worked. I don't know if this will help in your case, but give it a try.

Nokia n 73 droped in water for 3 seconds

This happened to me one fine summers eve in a pool in Los Angeles, but i'll spare you those details ;)

There is indeed hope! Make sure you dont put the batter back into it for a few days, take some dry rice and immerse the phone into it, the rice will **** any of the excess moisture out from the phone. DO NOT douse it in rubbing alcohol, and do not "bake" it in an oven or in too hot of sun, this will deform the internal electronics.. Hope this helps! :)

Sanyo MM-8300: ALL the keypads are frozen and won't work. Any solutions?

One thing you could test for is a thermal-fault in the phone's circuitry. To do this, you put your phone in the fridge over-night then, turn it on the next day and try the keypads while it's still cold from the fridge. If that doesn't help and you're brave enough to venture into the inner-workings of your phone to attempt repair/cleaning, you can read my post here- keys won't work on sanyo mm 8300 phone.
Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.
