When the power LED and the paper LED are blinking continuously it means that the printer has jammed or stalled. Look first for paper jams - open the rear access door and the top door to look for paper out of place. If no paper is found, check that the head (cartridge holder) will move by hand. Disconnect the power from the machine for 5-10 minutes and then reconnect and turn the power on. If the machine goes through the cycling of the LEDs, open the top door to see if the head will move to the center as it should. If it does not the chances are that whatever is causing the stall is hardware related and the printer will not be worth the cost to repair. You could search for any physical blockage by taking the printer's top case off and checking around the mechanism to find any simple problems. The most likely is that the electronic to mechanical interface is failing - sensors, etc.

Ink indicator keeps on blinking even with new ink cartridge.

The blinking ink light means that the printer does not recognize one of the ink cartridges. Power the printer off, pull out the power cord, wait for awhile, replug and turn the printer on. If the light no longer blinks, ok. If not, try installing another cartridge pair if you have them available - even if they are old used ones. If the ink light continues to blink with different cartridges or if you don't have any different cartridges, old or new, you have a dilemma. Do you want a new printer or do you want to continue to chase this problem. To chase this problem, get new cartridges and install them (half the price of a new printer). If that works your set, but if not you need to have your printer serviced which is doubtful that it is worthwhile doing so.

I changed the black ink cartridge but the ink light keeps blinking as there was no ink and it also makes weird noises as is the cartridge try to move but can't

Hello,
you may have probably gotten a fake ink for your printer, because Hp printer will never work or print not until u put in a genuine ink from Hp. Try to purchase another genuine ink and see if the problem will occur again.
Thanks

HP920c cartridge light wont stop blinking, printer wont print

Please refer below for detailed troubleshooting of the specific condition:

PRINT CARTRIDGE light RESUME light POWER light Blinking Off On c00106873.jpg c00106862.jpg c00106865.jpg Problem

The printer top cover is open, or there may be something wrong with the print cartridge.

Solution

  1. Close the printer top cover.
  2. If the PRINT CARTRIDGE light continues to blink, continue with the following steps:
    1. Open the top cover. The print cartridge cradle will move and then stop.
    2. Locate the yellow arrow on the top of the print cartridge cradle. The yellow arrow points to a drawing of a cartridge that represents a symptom. Perform the task associated with that symptom.
    3. For a list of symptoms, refer to How to use the cartridge drawings under the top access door on a 900 series Deskjet .

Toner light keeps blinking

The inkjet uses ink, not toner. When the light is blinking it indicates something is wrong with one of the cartridges, such as can't find it, not installed, out of ink, improperly installed, printer has died. First thing to try is to disconnect the power (not just power off) for 5 - 10 minutes and reconnect. If that does not resolve it, inspect the cartridges and reinstall them. If you have another printer that uses the same cartridges, try the cartridge in it. if not, get another set of cartridges and install them. If none of these steps resolve the problem, chances are that the printer is the problem and is probably not worth spending additional time on it.

Orange light blinking

This could either be out of ink ,out of paper ,paper jam etc.
See if the computer gives any errors on the screen and check your manual(if you still have it)
If none of those solutions help then try the following ,
pull out the power cord and press the power button for about 20 seconds ,then replug and see what happens.
If it still gives an error then it will have to go to HP service center.

All lights keep blinking!tried unplugging and reinstalling.Dead?

If the Resume c00121686.jpg light continues to blink and the print cartridge cradle does not move to the right side of the printer, try these solutions:
  • Remove and reinstall the print cartridges. Verify that the print cartridges are in the print cartridge cradle before pushing them forward into position.
  • Verify that no obstruction prevents the print cartridge cradle from moving freely on the rod.
  • Verify that the vinyl tape has been removed from each of the print cartridges.
If the problem persists, contact HP Customer Care.

Printer problems

Scrap it. I suspect your 810C has the same problem as mine - it's buggered. I have done everything to address the blinking cartridge light but nothing works. I've come to the conclusion that it's a mechanical/electrical problem and that my 810C, which has worked pretty well, bar the odd tantrum, for many years now, has come to the end of its life. Very possibly its demise has been hastened by the use of remanufactured cartridges, a practice I will continue as long as the real McCoys are such a rip-off.
