I bought a great scanner off a seller on ebay who only said that the physical condition looked good but knew nothing else about it. Sold "As Is". When I got it I saw the only problem was that the geared plastic piece that the scan head runs along had come loose from wherever it had been hooked with a spring. Now I'm in search of a manual or picture that shows me how the thing gets hooked back up.
Check the makers Web site or Goggle for diagrams But by and large this stuff dont get mended-so dont spend too much sweat on it.

Hi Rookie Buyer,
I am an Experianced Ebay Membr and have bought many Video Game Consoles from ebay. Now I also run a Video Game Console Service called the Playstation Clinic. The problems i have repaired so far on PS3 consoles have only been bad solder joints. Now, not many peiople are sending their PS3 systems to aftermarket repair services. Sony is still good about servicing the PS3. If you buy it from Ebay, you will not have a store receipt. And in turn the chance that Sony will honor the warranty, is very deminished.
I do not like buying from stores that cannot tell me details of what is wrong, your taking a big chance here.
Your best to get a Used PS3 on Ebay from a individual with high Feedback score percentage above 98%, and a count around 50 to 400. Also inside the USA. China does not package stuff very well. They ship fast, but they will send you a crytal glass in a paper bag and not even mark it fragile.
