HP PSC 1510 Scanner - Left side print is black (un-scanned)
I use my scanner as usual and all of a sudden this problem comes up. It appears that it's not scanning the left side (1/2 of the document is un-scanned). On the scanning preview, the four square boxes on all four corners would appear normally on all four corners. After scanning, the two left markers moved to the right side of the document showing black on 1/3 of the left side. Hope someone can help, as I could not find the answer on the HP help tool.

If you have install HP s/w photosmart essential, you can scan material into coputer by selecting the get image function then select from scanner. A window will pop up. In which you can change the scanner parameter setup or accept the pre-scan quality and do the scan right away. Another method is in printer and fax folder, you can find the icon for scanner is located here too. Just click on the icon for scanner then you can get the scan result too. Hope this can help you.
The black printing usualy occurs when there is a faillure in the light, since your light is working fine, there may be a problem in the imaging device inside(camera) or the reflector. There is nothing wrong with the cartridge.
