Tv popped and stopped

Hi Everyone, I was watching tv when suddenly I heard a loud pop and it turned off. After plugging it into different wall sockets, I noticed that the red light on the front would come on briefly, 2 blinks, and stop. Sorta like the tv was trying to start but couldn't. Does anyone know if this could be a fuse or anything else that could be fixed at home? Thanks alot for your time! JP

The over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits. It's best to have a Certified TV repairman look at it. Generally when this happens, the TV keeps getting worse and repairs can get expensive. If the repairs are over $300, then I would look into buying a new set.

Hi, I have an older Samsung plasma TV that's not working correctly (model:PN63A650T1FXZA). I heard a loud popping sound then the TV picture suddenly displaying grainy dark shade images. Please help.

Popping sounds could indicate a short, or possibly a blown capacitor. Most likely it will cost you more to fix it than it would to buy a newer, higher definition TV.

Watching TV and all of a sudden a loud pop came from the back of the set. Doesn't turn back on after unplugging.

Hello
Check its power supply regulator board. The pop sound you heard may be due to an explosion to any electrolytic capcitors on it. If the line voltage exceeds, this fault will happen. just repalce the damaged component. It is best to replace this board as card basis.

Tv went out after loud pop and has clicking noise does not turn on

If you have a Sony DLP, then the loud pop you heard is your lamp.  The lamps last approx. 4K-6K viewing hours.  Read your manual for replacement part number to reorder and very simple to replace yourself.
