Question about Canon PIXMA MP170 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I saw your report you gave to domo1 on 30th April 2007 and i was having the same problem so i followed all your instructions. However when i try to connect MP navigator it says " cannot download to OS at now" - also if I try scanner connection (I have Windows XP) it says scanner not found or not connected, check cables and see manual etc. Also whenever i press preview my on screen message on the printer goes to scanning 001 and wont scan after the first scan. Sometimes i get bits of preview and some times nothing at all and have to switch if off then on then press scan to be able to get one copy (or half a copy lol) Am I pressing wrong buttons or is it broken. It was working ok but I havent used it for a while and I cant find manual. It prints fine and photocopies fine but wont copy my paperwork to my computer. Hope u can help Cathy. PS ive checked my computer and it says WiiCanon under driver but dont know if this is only printer driver and ive reinstalled a few times but cant get scanner driver
You need to remove the Scanner software [which is different from the printer software] and re install it.
