I just got this brand new air conditioner. I turned it on, placed the temp on 60. It seemed to start up (compressor was working) but there was no air coming out and then the unit stopped. It would come back on for a minute and then turn back off. HELP!!
Let me guess you drove it home on its side in your back seat and then plugged it in? Or like many stores with a surplus of product and limited space, there are some units that are stored on their sides by idiot employees, or ones that don't care they just want to get the freight put away. All of which will more than likely result in a dead air conditioner, refrigerator, or dehumidifier if the unit is not upright overnight before use. The refrigerant is also acts as the lube for internal parts and when stored improperly will all be located in the coils, and not in the compressor where it needs to be. You plug it in and the unit will overheat and die. Either that killed it or it was DOA, go back and exchange it. Why bother troubleshooting something you can exchange? If you did drive it home on its side don't tell them that, unless you are that guy who didn't put 50:1 in his lawn mower. Hack
Half of them acs come out the box distressed. LG stands for Lot of Grief. Get a refund and buy american texas made stuff like fedders or freidrich. Stop puchasing that worthless **** nobody has parts for.
What you need to do before you buy a product is see who fixes it how much it will cost and are parts available? These crappy units are fresh off of a container ship from a country that has no manufacturing standards whatsoever and does not intend to get any.
