Black square in middle of screen when I use my PVR (like TVO) remote

Hi, I just bought a 26 in. Insignia flat screen, and have it currently hooked up (through antenna) to my Personal Video Recorder cable box (with Videotron in Canada). Whenever I change the channel, or use the majority of the buttons on the remote, a large black square appears in the middle screen. It disappears when I press "exit" on the TV remote. This just started on the 3rd day I have owned this brand new TV. Its very aggrivating!!! thakns

Same problem, pretty much whole screen goes black when the program goes to a commercial break. Press exit button and it clears up. Only had the tv now 1 month....guess its back to the store for another model.

I have a 19in TV. The black screen comes up when I turn the TV on. It does not go away. I have owned the TV for 11 months.

I am seeing similar issues ( 26 inch Insignia ), I see the problem any time I am on a channel that has any kind of " ticker " on it, ESPN, CNN, HLN...etc..... I am curious is anyone knows if there is a fix for it. Not sure if it is service provider specific....

I would take it back to the store and exchange it for a new one. Any problems with new equipment out of the box like that is a sign of a manufacturers defect.
