Question about Sanyo DS24425 24" TV
Hello to all you buzzers, I have the answer to your problem. First this is what's happening. The buzzing is coming from the power relay. It vibrates at 60hz because the power supply filter capacitor is not doing its job hence you have a rough d.c. pulse going to the relay. To solve the problem remove back of t.v. slide circuit board out (you will have to disconnect white wire from degauss coil, located on left front) look for a blue box approximately 3/4"x1 1/2" this will be the power relay. Now look for capacitor location #c622 near the relay. This capacitor should be 470uf 25v. Remove and replace with 470uf 35v capacitor, connect white degauss wire temperarily put back on and give it a spin. Hope this solves all the buzzin, robert

What you didnt say is whether or not the picture is normal when the set is making a buzzing sound. If the picture and sound are normal when the set is making the buzzing sound, then I would ckeck the small RF filter choke at AC input. That looks like a small transforner right next to the spot where the AC cord is connected to the PC board, near the glass AC fuse. I have seen them make a buzzing sound when the core is loose. If you do not have experience in replacing parts on a PC board then have the set serviced by a qualified tech.

It's model #ds25390
my sanyo buzzes Loudly and has no picture about 4 years into use. It'll work for about 15 minutes before this starts to happen when I turn it on. I checked the back while it was buzzing and blue sparks were flying out the bottom center.
