From my experience on Samsung ice makers there was a redesigne on the ice maker due to the problem of it not producing any ice. They use a flex tray and the trays have been braking, and the sensor n the bottom may have loosend up. I would call samsung and find out if you are covered under a warrenty for your problem. Or if you purchased a service contract call them and they will take care of it.

My whirlpool fridge is beeping door open. About a year after buying it the ice machine stopped. Then it began to build up ice in the bottom of the freezer and leak on the floor. Now it is beeping door open...

It has a defrost problem.
as for the door open it and look carefully round the door and you will see the door switch press it down and see if the light will go off.
if it doesn't turn off the lights then u should have a bad switch.
but if yes then and the beep sound keep beeping then try turning the frige off for about 6hours with the doors all open and after the 6hours plug it back on.

Ice machine does not make ice

No guide that I know of .

Open the freezer door and see if the laser light on the right side , flashes twice , then pause , repeatedly . Close the flap on the left side , and the laser should stop flashing . If this is what occures , then the optics ( cut off of the icemaker ) are ok . If you open the freezer and no laser on the right , check the position of the "rake" inside the icemaker . Close the freezer door for about 1 min , and then recheck the position of the rake . If it hasn't moved , then the icemaker is bad .
If the light flashes 2 times then pauses , pour about 2/3 cup of water into the icemaker , and check later , to see if the ice maker has dumped the cubes . If did not dump , replace the icemaker . If did dump , and did not fill with water , then the water valve behind the refrig is bad . Also check the black fill tube above the ice maker fill cup , to see if it is iced up , keeping the water from going into the fill cup . If it is frozen , then replace the water valve , due to seeping ( not closing completely ) , causing the slight drip , to freeze inside the tube .
This is the only guide I know of and it's called an experience guide .

Ice maker is overflowing

Older icemakers have a bar that drops from above your ice bin; once the bin is full the bar is raised and trips turning the ice maker off so that it won't dump. If your's is this style, try manually pushing the free end of the bar upward so that it locks in the upward position. Newer ice makers with the ice bin in the door have a small panel that moves to the open position when the door opens and closes when the door closes. Mine also includes an optical sensor that is visible when this panel is in the closed position. Try placing a non-clear tape over the optical sensor (don't know if that will work or not but worth a shot). If effective in stopping the ice flow then call a repairman. If none of this works, turn off the water supply coming out of the wall to your freezer.
