Question about Maytag LSE7806A Top Load Stacked Washer/Dryer
I have an older model Maytag washer/dryer 7804 and just recently have experienced the same problem as with the 7806 model. When I turn the selector switch to the minutes to wash, the water will not come into the tub nor will it agitate. However, I can move the selector switch to spin and it will spin out without any water in the tub. Nothing happens when I turn the selector switch to rinse.
Washer doesnt run through the cycle, the dial doesnt turn.

OK it may be one of 2 things. I would check the lid switch first. On some maytags the have a lid switch that if it is not working properly it will not let the washer fill. If it will not fill the washer will not wash because the pressure switch did not activate the timer to wash. If the switch checks good you might have a bad timer. If you open the control panel you will find a tech sheet with the wiring diagram. I would follow the fill cycle and check the components. You might also check the water valve to make sure its ok too. But its very rear that both the hot and cold would go at the same time. Good luck!

We ended having someone come and take a look at the washing machine. There is a fuse (1 AMP) that is tied to the selanoid (spell?) water valve. So far we have only replaced the fuse and the washer is working - for how long uncertain. The one thing that is puzzling is that the service rep and the schematics for this part on the internet all say a 1 amp fue, however, the fuse we took out was 15 amp.
Thanks. How do I get at that fuse, because it seems I have the same problem.
At first I thought about the solenoid itself or the switch, but it might be the fuse.
Thanks for any help.
I don't have a manual for the unit.

my mom has a stacked maytag unit and the water wont fill but it will work on spin cycle only.I've read about a lid switch but don't know where it is or how to get at it help
I have the same problem. Took the fuse out and jury-rigged it so the washer would run. The fuse isn't marked so don't know what amp to replace it with.
hAVE A mAYTAG wASHER mODEL lse 7804, WILL NOT FILL WITH WATER, THEREFORE WILLNOT START. hAVE REOLACED WATER LEVEL SWITCH. STILL WILL NOT FILL WITH WATER?
I have teh same problem and it turned out to be a fuse. REmove the Front lower panel that is in front of the washer unit. There are two screws on the bottom to be removed. The panel just pulls out with some force. On the left handside half between up there is an inline fuse. On mine the rating is 4A 250 VAC.
Maytag model MAV7200AWW. The washer goes all the way thru its cycle till it comes to the spin cycle.it pumps out the water but does not spin dry.
