I didn't mention that it is a diesel engine and we have had the remote mount PMD kit changed out twice as well as the electrical fuel box. All repairs were done in 2012.

My younger brothers' truck did the same thing and there was a relay up under the dashboard that would get hot and shut of(kind of a circuit breaker unit) most of the operating systems will flash at you when only battery voltage is available which explains the lights coming on..these newer trucks also have a performance chip in the system that will act up when it gets warm also..replace this and you may be ok..let me know what happens also.. good luck.

SOURCE: anti lock brakes

Brake system warning lights illuminate to alert the driver to various brake system conditions and are usually located on the instument cluster.

Each time the vehicle is started, the ABS control module performs a diagnostic self-check of the ABS system. During this self-check the ABS warning light in the dash panel insert will illuminate for a short period of time . After the self-check has completed the ABS warning light will go out.

If a malfunction is detected within the anti-lock braking system during the diagnostic self-check, the ABS warning light will illuminate and remain ON and ABS will be turned OFF, until the cause of the malfunction is repaired. How ever the conventional braking system will remain fully operational.
The brake warning light will illuminate if the brake fluid level becomes low or if the parking brake is engaged.
Hope that helps...........

SOURCE: Car dies while driving, now it won't start sometimes

Could be a fuel pump that is going bad. Some times when fuel pumps go bad they cavitate and pump not just gas but also air. If you get too much air in the line and not enough gas the car won't start. Have a mechanic check your fuel line pressure.

Could be a weak head gasket. White smoke is usually coolant burning.

Won't start when facing uphill or flat only when facing downhill.

sounds like a fuel pump fault, gravity is the only thing feeding the engine, then when engine is running the suction is sucking fuel in.

1998 Chevrolet C3500 dies randomly when driving down the road - uphill, downhill or flat surfaces. Typically doesn't happen when it's cold. Sometimes it starts back up and sometimes it doesn't....

U have an intermittent electrical connection causing the hassle. Check and clean all wiring junctions, etc. Also work the connections by sliding them in and out many times to remove any oxidation. U have to remember that a car's electrical system is low voltage and the slightest bit of corrosion can screw things up - example is dirty battery terminal wires with a new battery. Car will not crank but clean the terminals and away you go!!!!!!!!!!!!

Died and wont crank

If it died and won't crank, sounds like you lost power to something.
Does the warning lights come on when you turn the key on ?
Got headlights ?
A mechanic would check for voltage at the starter and work back from there.

I have a problem with my 2004 impala 3.8 V6 I will drive down the road and it will randomly die and won't start back up. It will turn over and everything but won't start. But if you let it

Possibly a crankshaft position sensor had the same problem with one of my former vehicles. Be careful buying a new one though it is an electronic part and it is not returnable at most part stores. That is what it sounds like to me though.

Teryx in limp mode

need more info what happened when it wen't into limp mode. were you just driving down the road, uphill downhill? there could be any number of reasons. Limp mode is so that you don't wreak the engine. What year car? did it throw an engine light. if so have it read to find out what is the problem. Other causes low antifreeze, low oil, trans overheating. You can try to unhook the pos battery cable for 10 minutes, if that does't clear the computer then you will need to see the dealer.

Cruise control will not maitain the speed it is set on. going up a hill it gets slower and going down a hill it gets faster

My experience is that cruise control works on level roads, uphill you have to control speed yourself same for downhill. Exception is very powerful cars. Did it maintain speeds before? (uphill + downhill)

Today suddenly my 4runner 98 V6 started to rattle in a slow gear and when going uphill the car had a sulfur smell but only when pushing it uphill the engine light came on but turned off after 10 minutes...

Take it into your mechanic ASAP before you throw a rod and destroy your engine, check oil level also...DO NOT DRIVE IT ANYMORE or you may be looking for another car soon.
