You did not say which model you had so I copied what I could find in manuals for Technika MP3 Players. I am sure you will find the user manual to explain when your MP3 player is fully charged.
I will also include the generic way to hook up and download songs to your MP3 player.

Downloading Music to MP3 Player

1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer,you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

Is this the touch screen model? If so, here are some utilities for the player. But unfortunately no Manual.

To charge the player:

Turn the player Off. Connect to wall charger. Player will auto power Onand display main menu. The small battery icon in top right of screen willindicate charging. After a few seconds player will autodim and charge fully. Do not overcharge the player. 4 hours maximum.

Youcan also turn the player OFF when connected to the charger, in thiscase you will see a blue battery charging icon.

Theplayer can only be charged from a USB port if it is connected to a highpower USB port. The supplied wall charger is a high power charger andis the preferred charging solution.

Please note: If the built-inloudspeaker is used, the battery life will be approx 3 hours. Pleaseuse earphones with the player to maximize play time.

I'd assume the charging method is the same for all models. MP3 players don't need specific software to load the with songs either. Head over to Winamp and download their player. Install the player and add music to your library. Once finished connect the MP3 Player to your computer with Winamp open. Winamp will then ask you if you want it to manage your player. Click yes.

To load songs just drag and drop into the MP3 player icon on the screen.

But the company apparently has hit the dust. Went bankrupt. So best of luck.

The GPX mp3 player is incompatible with iTunes (as are most non-iPod mp3 players). There are a few mp3 players out there that are iTunes compatible, but this is not the one.

when your mp3 player freezes hold the power switch like your going to turn it off and holdit for roughly 10 seconds. that should reset the mp3 player

Whenever the mp3's are on your hard drive, use winamp (www.winamp.com/download) to transfer the mp3's.
