The lower part of my samsung syncmaster 920n, approximately 1/3 of the whole screen just plain color white when ever i start to use it and after 2 hours it slowly returns to normal for about 30 more minutes. As it starts to go back to normal some of the white pixels starts to change color to what ever color is in the "ok" part of the screen. My lcd screen is just 7 months old. hoping anyone can help me.

Re: something wrong with my lcd screen
As a quick test I would try connecting the monitor to another PC to make sure the problem follows the monitor. If it does then the likely cause is a circuit board or possibly a poor connection inside the monitor. Since working on this would require opening the monitor case and voiding your 1 year warranty I would recommend you contact Samsung support for a warranty replacement as soon as possible. When you do make sure you mention the problem goes with the monitor and any other troubleshooting steps you have taken.
Also the replacement they send will itself be something that was returned and fixed. The only warranty you will get will be whatever is left of your original year so definitely get this taken care of as soon as possible.

The 920N units use the same power supply board that the 710T uses and it was a known issue with bad capacitors that fail. When they fail it can cause the issues that you are having - Either slow to show a picture, wavy display or no power and flashing power light. The boards can be repaired if you can do a little soldering, the parts are cheap. We have a step by step repair guide posted on our tech support web site at: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/repairing-the-samsung-syncmaster-710t/ This is an easy repair for a very nice monitor, well worth repairing it.
Samsung products does not require u to produce a bill during warranty, ur product info will be registered in the database of the customer care center. So you can go in and get ur claim with the warranty. And the about the green lines, it could be that something is wrong with your graphics adapter.
Check with www.lcdrepair.net if you want a repair. Something is wrong with your LCD controller and or GUI interface circuit or the circuit supplying power to it. If your technically endowed, you may want to open the monitor case and clean the dust and lint from around the circuits using a Small paint brush to sweep away any built up dust. These circuits take the Signal from the computer and controls the 2.5 million pixels on the LCD screen. Dsut can cause major problems with handling all that data. Give it a shot, what do you have to loose, its not dangerous if the monitor is unplugged.
