Check for CSIC chip. The chip that read the "Ink Tank Chip". It's in carriage.

I replaced a black cartdridge epson sx 510w, but the printer doesn't recognized it?

I would recommend the following:
  • Remove the cartridge from the printer.
  • Turn the printer off.
  • Wait 30-60 seconds.
  • Turn the printer back on.
  • Reinstall the ink cartridge.
If the printer still doesn't recognise the cartridge it is likely to be faulty. In which case I would recommend seeking a replacement from wherever it was purchased.

Don't know exactly where to drill a hole to refill Epsom T0711 printer ink cartridge. Can you help?

Hi,

Thanks for using Fixya.
You won't need to drill hole anywhere.
Visit this link to get all the instructions required to refill the ink in Epson T0711 cartridge.
But remember you would need a chip resetter gun to re set the chips on the ink cartridges after you refill the cartridges.
Visit this link to buy Universal chip reseter if you don' t have.

Good luck and have a nice day.

I have been using non Epson cartridges for years on my RX620 but today when I changed the black cartridge, I got a message that none of my cartridges were recognized as Epson and the printer is now locked...

Newer Epson ink cartridges and other manufacturers place a chip in the cartridge that interacts with the printer, telling it is a genuine cartridge.

If an aftermarket cartridge is used, it may not have the chip and subsequently will not work with the printer.

The best work around is to use genuine Epson cartridges, but when they are empty, take them to a store that can re-fill them or exchange them for a previously refilled genuine cartridge.

What worked for me was taking the cartridge out and rubbing the terminal with a scratch free cloth. I was fustrated with it so rubbed it quite hard but supprisingly when i put it back in it worked.

DX7450 will not acknowledge new black cartridge

My first thought would be that you purchased a defective cartridge. It happens sometimes. Return it to the retailer for exchange and they in turn will return it to their supplier. If the printer still thinks the cartridge is missing or empty, something has failed in the printer. You can decide what to do with the printer at that time.

As a home user I would like to refill Epson T0711 inkjet cartridge. I am told that I will need a chip resetter gun to make task a success. Is this suggestion correct and what is a chip resetter gun ?

it resets the chip so that your refilled cartridge will be recognised and will be set to back to full. Otherwise your printer will only recognise genuine epson cartridges .

Epson DX4000 printer

Hi..
Try this. Removed the color cartridge. Open the printer settings under Quality and check the box that says print in "greyscale" or "black and white.
This will rule out and color cart problem and also change the printer settings. You will have to change this back to print in Color,
Hope this helped........
