Default service menu codes

I recently purchased a used Toshiba 27af41 and noticed when I ot it home that the picture geometry was somewhat off. I accessed the service menu and tried to make adjustments. Unfortunately I didn't write down the original settings. Does anyone know the original default service menu settings?

Http://www.audiolabga.com/pdf/27AF41.pdf is the Toshiba service manual. The default values are listed on page 17. If necessary I can read out the values in my set. DO NOT change the data listed under DESIGN MODE because Table-3 is incorrect. I don't have the source of correct info available as I write but I can get it if you need. I work on missile control systems & radars with little experience in commercial electronics.

I have sony bravia KDL-40BX420 TV ,purchased 03 years back.recently got a problem with pictures & colour. It shows pictures with shadow & colours are blured.please give your feedback

I would check the menu settings and reset everything to default. if there are calibration tests in the menu, use them. Try more than one source for video.

What are the default geometry values for 480P and 1080i FULL modes?

If you have the model listed have fun----Geometry values are depicted in the Convergence section---the grid of GREEN lines determines geometry and red and blue are then adjusted to the Green.

Primitive: Set had at one time two overlays available--clear plastic you attached to screen to line the that Green grid up against---one for 480 and one for 1080.

Once the geometry is set (best possible) you must align convergence and save it in both the modes one at a time.

By current standards a Fred Flintstone system--but in its day a real pain as alignment can take many hours with the correct remote via the tech menu for convergence.

My Toshiba 27AF41 TV won't turn on when I press the power button. The red light blinks, but won't turn off when I press the power button again

This set is full of safety circuits that can cause this. It is really hard to say because anything can cause that. Have a shop check it out for you. Thanks for using fixya.

How do i unlock the key--- display on my Provision television that is operated by a beko 12.1 remote control.I also need the service code for some Geometric adjustment.

Service Menu Access Procedure To access the service menu, press and hold the handset sound mute button whilst pressing the TV's front panel 'Menu' button (under the front panel cover on the TV). The up/down channel buttons on the handset step through the options and the left/right buttons change the data values. Turn the TV off to get out of service mode and DO NOT touch any other handset buttons whilst in service mode. Service menu access is also similar for many other Toshiba large-screen TV's so this procedure may work on other Toshiba TV's - even those sold outside the UK.

Maybe this list can help you, click here for a list of each widescreen Toshiba TV Service Menu adjustment with details on the purpose of each.

The factory settings of each service menu option will be entirely different on every TV manufactured, due to component, tube and scan coil tolerances, so don't under any circumstances adjust your TV's settings to my factory default settings or your TV's picture will probably look awful! The factory settings are provided out of interest - the useful part of this document is actually the definition of each service menu option. You will see that some geometry settings are duplicated for each screen mode such as 'Cinema' and 'Subtitle'. This could, for example, help resolve a geometry problem that's present just in one screen mode.

I hope help you with this.

Philips 55PW9363 Service Menu - Geometry settings help, picture shifting at times???

If you are doing the labor you should wait and replace the new part and while you are at it check for loose conections in the horizontal drive circuit since all symptoms might be related, but they are doing all the work they should address all the problems you have, settings in the service menu dont just change on their own and are adjusted only when a major comp[onent has been change like the convergence.
