I'm new at this and I had my machine for a couple of years but never used it until now...but in my move I lost the manual and the threading instructions for the machine as well as the bobbin ...Is there anyone out there that's willing to explain??

If the manual doesnt mention oiling at all, then it probably has silicon or nylon parts not needing lubrication. It may also have oiling wicks which the technican will attend do during the regular services that the manufacturer probably recommends annually in the manual.
You do need to clean out the bobbin area regularly though and your manual should mention this, lint will build up in any sewing machine and affect perforance.
A lot of the newer computer models don't seem to recommend oiling. I went to the manufacters website for my machine- brother pc-420- to find out, because like you, there were no indications in my manual. Brother website informed machine was oiled plenty already and advised oiling could cause damage. Seems like a way to put services centers back in business if you ask me! My advice would be to call Simplicity and see what they have to say about maintenance. In the meantime I will be making the same call to Brother. Hope we both stay out of repairs. Good luck! =)
Hi 2Bosse.....ensure that you always turn the power switch off prior to inserting or removing your cards. After you insert your card and turn the power switch on, press "List" to display the maximum amount of images. Press Next to scroll.
Your machine accepts a maximum of an 8MB card, and unlimited reading abilities of PES.
I hope this has help you my friend...good luck.
