It's highly likely that you either have a foreign object down the paper feed tray or the guides are incorrectly set...
Hopefully one of these will solve this:
1. Remove any paper, tape down the scanner lid and
gently tip your printer upside down and give it a GENTLE shake to see if anything drops out. This is really only something I'd recommend for someone strong and careful so take your time.
2. Check for any jammed foreign objects such as pens, paper clips, etc...that have fallen down into the printer. The place to look is wherever the paper seems to be bunching up most as it goes through
3. Make sure you're inserting the paper, with the guides set to the correct width and not loose. The guides help correct any issues with skew as the paper is pulled in, so this may correct any other issues.
Hope one of these helps..

There are no foreign objects in the printer. I almost wish there was!
The paper will not feed into the machine and it is out of warranty.
I guess the rollers are out of alignment and while I may take the machine apart I doubt I will be able to fix it. Thanks for your help.
