Question about iLO 2600 Television

1 Answer

Wrong resolution My manual says that the correct resolution for this "monitor" is 1025x768, but it will not accept this resolution at all. It will work with 800x600 and with 1280x768, but don't try to turn the tv off at 1280x768 because it will not come back at that resolution. It will say that it is an unsupported resloution. What gives?!!

The Video card fitted in the computer may have different resolutions. They may not match with the resolutions suggested by the monitor manuel. So you get the closest resolution. Also the number you have mentioned is: 1025x768. Is it a typo error? It is probably 1024x768.
I don't think it should be taken as aproblem.

Out of Range problem with LED 19 inch viewsonic monitor

What is the source for the signal to the monitor? First, if the source is a computer, was the computer previously connected to a CRT monitor? If this was the case, you may have the wrong refresh rate as well as the wrong resolution being sent to the video port. Reconnect the computer to the old monitor (if possible) and reset the refresh rate to 60 Hz.

Next connect the monitor to the computer with both devices off. Then turn on the monitor and set it to the correct input (if needed). Then turn on the computer. Most versions of Windows should determine the best resolution for the monitor. (Some Unix versions and recent versions of the Mac OS will also automatically find the correct resolution.) If you are still getting the out of range message, you need to change the video resolution with a different monitor connected and then retry. Always turn on the monitor first.

For additional support, please add a comment with the specific monitor and source that you have. In a few cases, the video card/on-board video may not be able to output the correct resolution or lose the correct setting when the monitor or computer "sleep".

I hope this helps.

(I've seen most "out of range" messages with several TVs that were connected to computers and turned on and set to the computer input after the computer booted up.)

I am trying to connect a samsung syncmaster 151v to my computer and the moniter reads video mode not supported what am i doing wrong?

Your resolution is set to high for the monitor to accept it. Go into control panel and click on Display then click on display setting and lower your resolution keep going lower until your monitor accepts the resolution size and your monitor should work for you.

I hope this helps you out any positive feedback to me would be greatly appreciated.Thank you

My NEC MultiSync LCD 1765 monitor boots up to the lowest resolution available. When I attempt to correct the resolution through the Display Options in my Control Panel Settings, I set it at the highest...

Try connecting the NEC to a different computer, to see if it correctly accepts 1280-by-1024.
If so, then there's nothing wrong with the monitor, and the fault lies with either the video-adapter in your computer, or something messed-up with your installed copy of Windows.
Try replacing the video-adapter.

High pitch sound coming from my old LG 700E monitor

High pitch sound maybe an indicator of a defective monitor or a wrong or incompatible resolution setting of your display properties. The usual is that you have set the resolution higher than that the monitor can hold. Boot the pc in a safe mode. This will give you an option to set the resolution to that resolution accepted by your monitor, the usual is 1024 x 600 or so, avoid higher resolution than this.

Says out of range

Out of range means that your computer resolution is set too high for the monitor to understand and accept.
Try restarting the computer with the screen turned on and that may correct it.
If not, You may have to reset your computer resolution to a lower level using a different monitor then hook up the viewsonic.

After restarting for an automatic update my desktop was in a "default" arrangement and the resolution was changed. I attempted to change it back but must have set it to the wrong res, cus the screen went...

Yes video drivers need to be updated then go back where you went to change the resolution and click keep this resolution I think you mistakenly told not to accept it this happens.

Connection hook up problem

Set the resolution lower.

It is telling you that the resolution you want is beyond its normal operating range.

just drop it to lets say 800 x 600
Then bump it up one resolution at a time until you get the message again, then drop it back one.

Running monitors above the acceptable range can drastically shorten their lifespan.
With lcd monitors you are much better using the DVI cable if yout video card supports it.

Distorted images due to wide screen

Hi
Your entire desktop is probably stretched left to right.
You need to adjust the resolution of your computers video card in the display properties to one that the widescreen will accept correctly.
There is a chance that your video card may not have the correct resolutions available. If this is the case then you may be stuck with this view until you change coputers or video cards.
to get to display properties based on win2k or xp
Right click in the center of your desktop, choose properties, go to settings and there you should see the resolutions available. Try different ones till you find a good one, you may have to settle for one that is close to your monitors setup if the exact one isn't available.
If using a laptop with a standard screen with the wide monitor, you may need to disable the laptop screen and use just the monitor to get the correct resolution on the monitor.
