Everytime i try and take a picture it says card locked

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

When you turn camera on or try to take picture it says card locked

The memory card in the camera has been locked. if you remove the memory card, you will see a small tab on the card and it is likely switched to the "lock" position. This can happen easily by accident if you are handling the card. Simply slide the switch on the memory card away from the lock position and you should be back in business.

Does Hp 945 work without a memory card

Yes, but the camera has only 32M of internal memory so you won't be able to take and store more than a handful of pictures. For "real" use you'll need one or more SD cards. Make sure you get SD cards 2GB and smaller, not SDHC cards.

My hp 935 is saying that the memory card is locked. I have turned the camera off and back on again. It still does not work. I have taken the batteries out and back in and nothing. I do not know what to do....

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Unlock card

If the card is locked, you could the steps below:

- Turn off camera
- Remove memory card
- Take a look on the switch of the memory card itself
* If it's at the TOP = card is UNLOCKED
* If it's at the BOTTOM = card is LOCKED

- So, you just have to make sure that the switch is at the top
for the memory card to be UNLOCKED

After doing that, you just have to put back the memory card to your camera and turn on the camera. Try to check if this works.
