water temp should be a minimum 140 degrees at inlet this can be checked with meat thermometer at kitchen faucet, also need proper fill of water entering dishwasher proper water pressure and fill also important for proper cleaning of dishes,if water is slow entering you may have sediment inside fillvalve screen if on well water in this case you will have to disconnect water supply line and take valve apart the screen is in side valve reassemble and test operation...if this does not work you may have to replace inlet vavle
You should pull the unit out of the cavity and check the inlet to the drain pump. Sometimes a label or something will get sucked into the inlet and block it. If you don't find a blockage then either your drain pump is bad or the water level sensor is bad.
Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.I would start where your drain line connects to the house drain,This is where most blocked drains happen. Disconnect the drain line and put it in a bucket and try to drain the dishwasher. Chances are its blocked somewhere you just have to find it.

Sounds like your sink drain trap or line is clogged. When the dishwasher drains, the sink drain can't keep up, the water backs up, then backs down the dishwasher drain line into the dishwasher. You may not notice the slow line when you run a little water into the sink, but with the amount of water coming from the dishwasher the problem is worse. You can try taking off the trap under the sink and making sure it's clear. If the problem is farther down the drain line, you can try snaking it yourself, or call a plumber. I don't recommend using Liquid Plumr or Drano because if those don't work, they leave the line full of caustic chemicals for the next person who works on it. That can be dangeerous.
I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...
F6. 6 Flashes. Water valve (WV1) is switched on but flow meter (FM) senses no impulses (less than 10 impulses in 10 secs) and the water indicator (WI) is at a low level Water Valve Closed. Water inlet hose blocked. Water inlet valve (WV1) defective. Flow meter (FM) defective (leads to FM failure)
The above info is pretty self explanatory but the bottom line is the dishwasher either is not filling fast enough or... is sensing that it is not filling fast enough. Check your inlet water line for flow by first turning off the power and water supply line then remove the line .... open the wall connection valve and check the flow. Also take a flashlight and small mirror if need be to check the hole of the inler to the water valve.
