The reset button for the power nozzle in on the top of the housing just to the right of the wand to tool connection. As for the tank; this is more a guess than an answer: There is a small hole at the bottom of the bag compartment. I wondered if that was a reset button, but the manufacturer recommends disconnecting the machine until it cools down and resets itself.

I know it is not much help. Electrolux Aerus does not want customers to repair their own equipment, and they will refuse to give out information.

Many thanks to all those Aerus-Electrolux (any model) canister vacuum cleaner access. To open the clamshell to access the guts, all you have to do is use a small wood block and a hammer. (1) Disconnect the vacuum from the power source. (2) Remove the hose, take the bag out of the tank. (3) Leave the bag access open. (4) Lay vacuum on either side. (5) Place the wooden block against the tank just behind the rubber bumper at the back end of the vacuum. (6) Firmly strike the wooden block maybe a couple of times until the bumper assembly slides toward the open tank at the hose end of the vacuum. (7) Turn the vacuum to the other side and repeat the process.

Here is one of the sources I found and used: http://howtomendit.com/answers.php?id=64... Note: Aerus-Electrolux all have the same access. It worked!

Reset engine indicator light

1. With the Car Off, Press and hold down the Odometer Trip Reset Button. 2. While still pressing the Trip Reset Button, Turn the Ignition Key half way on where all your oil, check engine lights etc.. turn on. Don't turn it as far as you would to normally start the car. Wait a few seconds and the Check engine light will turn off. 3. Turn the key back to the Off position and you're done.

Unit stopped working; no power

Fuse is located on the bottom back side by on/off switch.
Grip both top and bottom to pull out. It's a squeeze lever on both ends. I was able to pull out using fingernails once, the second time I needed to use a paper clip on one end.

Hybrid gp problem

You have to locate the "blade" that is causing a short (usually can see it sparking; if not, reset it (turn it off then on) in a dark room and locate the problem area (this is how I figured it out).  If you can locate the offending "blade", simply tear it out of the base where the spark is occurring, fold it back against itself so the metal does not contact anything other than itself (and is no longer contacting the base where the sparks occurred).
This fixed my unit (I was just about to throw it out when I tried this solution).

Red Light indicator on

I have a Bionaire tower air filter model BAP1700 that I bought from Costco. The filter check LED came on recently after 5 months of use. After cleaning the Permatech filters, I tried every remedy on this website including following the instructions that say push power button for 2 secs. Nothing worked. Then I noticed a tiny hole on the control panel in front of clean filter LED; I pushed a paper clip pin into that hole, felt a click, held it down and 2 secs later, LED went out. Success!

Replace Filter Indicator Will Not Turn Off

I owned the previous model of the same unit with the hole for the paperclip. But it wore out and I replaced it with the HAP422 and found the same issue; no hole to "reset" the light. I was just fooling with it and determined that "some" switch would reset it and finally held the power on button on for a few seconds, after which, the red light flashed and then went out. Problem solved. BUT THERE IS NOT ONE WORD IN THE MANUAL TO TELL YOU THIS! WHY NOT?
