Turn console off and leave for at least 5 hours.
Make sure no devices are plugged into console when you turn it on after cooling time. When you do turn it on, however, make sure it is at least 3 metres away from any heat sources and electrical devices.

Re:
I assume you mean wirelss controllers, if so, on the front of the console there is a round connect button marked '>>',( to the right of the memory port 2) press and release this and there is a little pairing connect button on the controller at the front press this, then the lights should then circulate and stop in either the upper left or upper right segments.

There are links that show you how to repair this issue yourself (but
they are not very clear and every thing is very fragile inside the XBOX
360) or you can contact me via email at [email protected] and we
can discuss the issue further as I recently repaired my XBOX 360 with
the same issues and it works better than when was brand new. It takes and electronics engineer to repair properly.
the ring od death is a fairly common problem with the xbox and the PS3 it is caused by the following
1. a hardrive failure or corruption
2. it might be the soldering on the motherboard that needs to be reflowed
3. it could be that there is dust build up on the machine so if there is
-you can clean it with a can of compressed air
- make sure that you hold it two inches from the console
i hope that i could help!
it could be dreaded rrod, probably caused by overheating. checkout the xbox repair guides on http://www.mygames-zone.com and the repair guides will provide a step by step methd to fix your xbox 360 My
This is the problem with the GPU, Just fixed on the other day with the same problem. best way to fix it is with a heatgun and an xbox360 repair kit. The same kit for fixing the 3 red lights and E74 problems.
I dont know if you have been able to figure out what the proble was with your 360, but the exact SAME thing happened to me. The 360 seems to be working fine, game loads, and both the consoles and the controllers rings lit up green, but then the controllers ring just keeps flashing and the console won't recognize it. I 've tried other controllers and nothing worked and obviously I tried to synch it with the console time and time again. PLEASE HELP!!!
I have a very similar problem I had a few days ago. But what I did was I shut down the Xbox 360 console completely. Then I unplugged the power cord from the Xbox 360 console and the wall outlet, and then I disconnected the batteries from the wireless controller. let it sit for about 5 min. Then plugged everything back in, and finally I hit the the wireless connecting buttons on both the Xbox 360 console itself, and the wireless controller(s).
And from then on, I have had no problems, what so ever since I did that (above).
