Yes the heater could cause this but so could the motor,or dryer heater, but because any electrical component couldcause this unless you have a Insulation Resistence Tester it will all be guess work if you are not electrically minded I would leave it to an expert. THIS FAULT IS A SHOCK HAZZARD.

Probably the heating element it sometimes absorbs water, tracks down to earth and blows the fuse

Whirlpool duet washer power went of during a cycle

If the power is not reaching the m/c., switch off plug outlet remove the plug.
( safety measure ).

Now open the machine and check the fuse. If you trace the power cord you will reach the fuse area.

Maytag washer stopped working at the rinse cycle

do you have the machine set for cold water rinse? if so, the solenoid that allows the cold water to come into the machine may be malfunctioning. try to see if it will fill in the rinse cycle with hot water? if so, you need to change the water inlet valve.

Roper dryer stopped working during cycle REX6634RQO

replace your t-fuse again but also chekc to see if the vent going outside is restricted. if hte vent is smashed or clogged the heat has nowhere to go. i would say that is your issue. clean your vent before you change he t-fuse.

Dryer runs but will not heat. Replaced fuse and

your cycling thermostat needs changed too. the thermal fuse is your last safety measure that goes, which means your cycling thermostat is not shutting down the heat element once it detects the right temp hot air in the blower housing so it let the heat element glow until either the high-limit sensor shuts the heat down or the thermal fuse blows. Change the cycling thermostat and good luck

Maytag stopped working,

I'm not sure if there is a fuse inside, but if you found the diagram, you can trace the power.

on a dead set, the most common problem would be the timer switch. the one that you pull and push.

check the contacts of the timer switch.

tnx again,

Belt squeek during rinse cycle

Mine the same concern, I took it apart and found the thermo fuse in the motor had a bad terminal. Maytag parts man said you must get a new motor even though the fuse has a part # on it and is easy to change. I made temporary repairs until I find a fuse from a used parts machine. Scott

assuming you had correct value fuse, fuse blowing may have been caused by a machine fault.after power outage, cycle should resume.

Keeps fusing

It seems like something is prevent tub's free movment. Try to spin the clothes tub by hand and look for a free movment. In case it doesn't move smoothly, maybe that a sock or other piece of clothing get between the clothes tub and the outer tub and prevent its clear spin. In this case it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump.Remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out. In case it clean there, check the outer tub port- open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, try to remove the clothing through the port. Be aware you should disconnected the power cable before starting your tests !! Good luck !!!
