The LCD on my Nokia 6260 occasionally has lines on it. Someone suggested that I disassemble the phone and reposition the cable that goes to the screen. Does this sound right?
If so, I see some disassembly guides around...a suggestion for a good one please.

besides the standard remove your battery an reset your system, it would suggest you talk with nokia support, your phone might need to be set in for repair. They are fairly quick in response time if you e-mail them a question (if you are worried about your phone cutting off during the call).E-mail support<https://www.nokiausa.com/support/contact_us/email> In USACall the Nokia Care Contact Center: Telephone: 1-888-NOKIA-2U (1-888-665-4228) TTY/TDD: 1-800-24-NOKIA (1-800-246-6542)

i have the same problem with my nokia 6260.. what i did was, at first getting the fone "power on" and "power off" repeatedly while charging makes the screen back to normal. b4 it would only take me 3x "on and off" but now i cant count how many until it turns normal again. or if it doesn't work try to open (disassemble) your fone n make sure it does not have any moisture on it, check the connectors if properly connected worst... you must change yor LCD. try it n i hope this post helps..
