Sony Bravia kdl-46v4100 screen is covered with horizontal vibrating lines
Does not seem to be a cable problem. If TV has not been used for several days, TV will seem fine for first 2-3 hours and then tiny horizontal lines that vibrate appear.

If the line is Horizontal then you deffinantly have a cable issue, replace the cable and that should do it, if it continues the problem could be in the port itself, if using HDMI switch to VGA or composite to test this theory. please keep me posted.
Check the flat cable [LVDS Cable] that connects to its T'Con board to display panel. If it has any loose contacts with the sockets at either side, this type of fault can occur. If you wish to get more details about this type of fault to LCD TVs, check this link.

LOD (lines of death) are a known service issue with the Sony bravia line of TV's contact Sony and cross your fingers. Wish I had better news for you. I had a 52w4100 and Sony arranged me with a service center to get it taken care of.
Yeah we have the same exact problem here. Defective TV....ours would correct itself after 30 mins, but now it's blurry all the time. I'm never dropping 2K on a SONY tv again.
Horizontal drive has either data, voltage, or control problem from the pixel registry circuit......get it serviced before the problem spreads causing further damage.
