Hi, okay now does this happening every time ? or is the distance variable ?

check the batteries are fully charged, if possible check the batteries with a electrical meter when it stops again , insert the probes in the charger socket the outside ones , the middle on you can ignore , check the voltage , below 23 or 24 volts this means that once you start going again the voltage will drop causing the controller to cut out , they normally cut out at about 18 volts .

Satisfied that's okay now the brake could be breaking down ? do you hear it click when going along ?

At worse your controller could be breaking down

Regards

My new ZT10 scooter dies, runs uneven speeds, only goes 3 miles per charge. Went 12 miles when new.

The most likely reason is that you have bad batteries that weren't looked after before you got it. Take it to an Interstate Battery outlet and they will test the batteries for free. It literally takes 2 minutes.

MY QUESTION IS ABOUT BATTERY POWERED ELECTRIC SCOOTERS. WHY IS IT THAT i AM NOT GETTING NOWHERE NEAR THE RANGE that I am getting from a fully charge scooter.

Sounds like either the battery or charger is not working properly. If the machine has been sitting around for a long time without charging the battery then the battery may not hold a full charge, I would pull the batteries and have them checked out and see if they are charging up to snuff. Fully charge them before you get them tested. There should be no charge to check them.

Razor Scooter ground fOrce go cart wont go

The E100 is a Kick Start scooter, the Rear Wheel has to be Spun for it to start. This scooter will not start from a motionless position.

Could be the battery.
Put the Scooter on a block so the rear tire is raised. Remove the standing plate to reveal the battery compartment.
Charge the Unit completely

1. Using a multimeter measure the voltage across the batteries. If the voltage is below 20 volts batteries are dead - Replace batteries.
2. Now for a running test. Turn the throttle and spin the rear tire to preform a kick start. Still measuring the voltage. If the voltage is Below 20 volts or if the voltage drops quickly batteries are dead - Replace batteries.
3. If the voltage is remaining around 24 volts for a long period - then you could have connector problems, clean and tighten all connectors.
I use a fiberglass electronic cleaning brush, as contact cleaners leave residue that interfere with electrical connections.

Hi moves foeward & reverse approx 6 feet stops dead ?

It can be any number of things.

1. Batteries are bad. Just because they are new, does not make them good or batteries you placed in the scooter are a lower (a.h.) than what is recommended by manufacturer.
2. short in the front/rear harness.
3. short in console.
4. park brake issue.
5. Thermal rollback.

It is an issue that a Technician should look at.

How can I fix This problem. after about 1.5 miles the scooter comes steadily to a stop. waiting for a few minutes it will go again Ok.

The motor is overheating. The service manual will tell you how to test. Pride has a service manual you can download from their website.

Motor stopped dead during slow turn on grass, neons light up,but it immediatly shuts down again lights ok motor stays dead.

Hi roybruce
Sounds exactly like a brake problem.
To check this run the scooter as far as it will go untill it shuts down or 10 minutes which ever occurs first.
Then being careful not to get burned touch very carefully with your finger the brake. Located at the end of your motor attached to the free wheel lever.
This could be very hot so be careful.
If the brake or motor is hot replace the brake. If the brake is cool to the touch you could have low voltage. Have your batteries load tested to make sure. Replace batteries if needed.

Good Luck
Tim
