The red, blue, green... are they bars? sound like the test screen I've seen on a few monitors. This happens when the monitor is on but not connected properly to the computer. You could have the cable from the monitor to the computer loose, plugged into the wrong port (if you have more than one), you could have video card trouble (broken, loose or a power issue on some high end video cards), or a few other less likely possibilities.

Got a screen message that fan is not working. Now when I turn on the computer it just beeps at me. What do I need to do to solve this problem?

Open cover and switch it on, check if fans turn (assume CPU fan), if not switch it off and remove from mains, replace faulty fan or clean the fan with a small brush and vacuum cleaner might be clogged with dust. If this fails check bios settings for CPU temperature and adjust accordingly, do not exceed recommended CPU temperature, or CPU will overheat and eventually be destroyed.

Computer shuts down and beeps due to over heating and bios shuts down machine as a precaution.

Spilled diet coke on laptop. Buttons light up but the screen remains black.

Disconnect your battery and neveeeer turn it on. It must be, no power is connected to it. Then bring your unit to a authorized repairer.

They will clean it and have it dry, check others. This will gonna involved disassembling the unit.

Well, in the second (Gege) case you have a bad windows. Repair using a recovery CD (one most likely came with your comp). Whyme, take it in for repair; someones been messing with your BIOS.
