Error: Unable to connect to the synaptics pointing device driver

What you need to do is go to device manager by clicking on start and control panel and find the device manager. You can also type devmgmr.msc and hit enter. Then you can see the pointer devices. You can then delete them and the right one will come back when you restart the computer you can then go back to the device manager and disable it there.

Hi, i hav a probook 4510s laptop & i cant get the mouse pad to work... when the lappy is starting up, in the left hand top corner is says - no mouse detected. please help!

If this is a recent occurance, shut down, unplug, remove battery, plug in, push the on/off button and do a System Restore to a date before this problem. Perhaps the TouchPad driver is in error. You can try a external USB mouse to troubleshoot the problem in Device Manager to verify the driver or device isn't in error. I think HP TouchPad software is Synaptics Pointing Device, check your your Tray Notification Area for the icon, right click, select Pointing Device Properties. Or Control Panel, select Mouse.

Hi:

A device error 42 is pointing at the laser giving a problem. If shutting off and turning on the fax does not clear the problem then a tech will need to look at it.

error code 10 says that the device is not properly configured or it is conflicting with another device... uninstalling the device and reinstalling the drivers should fix the issue...
In most case restarting computer has fixed these kind of issues...

I have a probleme with my asus eee 900 ;the touchpapd is not working any more can i get omme hlp have this problem for a month now

There are many reasons that your touchpad doesn't work.
First check if you have in the BIOS, the Multi pointing devices Enabled. Then go to the device manager and check it any pointing device is installed but first disconnect any other external component form your Notebook like external mouse, keyboad and other pointing devices.
The Device manager will tell you that is the status of the pointing device connected. If no pointing device appear in device manager, it means that your touchpad doesn't communicate with the mainboard even if is connected.
Scan for new hardware in the menu of device manager. If the device manager find a pointing device, restart the comuter and try if the touchpad works.

Unable to connect to the synaptics pointing device driver

I am assuming that the mouse has batteries installed in it and the CD was used to install the software program for the mouse.
Did you try Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it to Reset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
