Question about Frigidaire FWTBB30DS Front Load Washer
The machine will fill and begin to wash, then it will stop on its own, sometims it will continue later. If I push on the door it will restart, once I let go it stops.
You probably have a bad door latch or door interlock. Both, if defective will cause the symptoms you describe. The door must remain closed and lock before a wash cycle will begin, and for it to complete properly.

There is a push button type interlock either at the top or bottom of the door opening. On some models, there are two interlocks. If your washer does not have an interlock, it still sounds like you have something wrong with a latch circuit in the door, because you stated that the washer works fine as long as you push on the door. This is usually a symptom of a bad interlock or latch that's not staying closed properly. You may also check the door seal to make sure it's seated properly all the way around the door opening, and that it is not keeping the door from closing properly. I have experienced this problem before. Sorry, it's hard to diagnose without seeing what the door assembly looks like. Let me know if this helps.

I have replaced the door latch, and the problem persists. what exactly is the door interlock and is it easily replaceable?
