I am desperate for help!

I have a philips PM435S and I cant get it to program. I hold code search, it lights up. I then hold vcr/dvd (I am programing it for the dvd) it flashes, but doesnt stay lit. I tried the only two codes for my magnavox (441 & 442) neither work. I tried the auto code search using play for about an hour. I got nothing but a cramp in my hand. I need help, my dvd player doesnt have buttons I can push instead!! Thanks!

I need code(s) for my DVD Video, Model #: NB093 remote control to program my Philips DVD Player/VCR, Model #: DVP3345V/17. Can you please help me? I would greatly appreciate it. Here is a picture of it.

http://remotecodelist.com/remotes/magnavox/magnavox.htm lists the code for your device as possibly being 1000, 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, or 1005. Of course, you also have the option of using the remote controller's "Code Search" button. 25300580-iv4burzhkawezvl2jbah1xae-2-0.jpg With Codes:
Turn on the DVD/VCR unit directly. Continue to depress the remote controller's "Code Search" button for about ten seconds, release, & the light on the remote controller should stay on. Enter the four-digit code (1000, 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, or 1005) for the DVD/VCR unit. The remote controller's light should go off. Press the remote controller's power button, & when the DVD/VCR unit turns off, then you will know that the remote controller has been correctly programmed.

Without Codes:

With the DVD/VCR unit on, continue to depress the remote controller's "Code Search" button for about ten seconds, release, & the light on the remote controller should stay on. Continue to tap the remote controller's UP or DOWN channel button ONLY UNTIL the DVD/VCR unit responds. Then, press the power button on the remote controller once the channel has changed. If the DVD/VCR unit shuts off, then press the power button again to turn it back on. If the DVD/VCR unit turns on, then the remote controller has been correctly programmed. Otherwise, repeat this whole process until the remote controller is correctly programmed.

I have 3 remotes here..1 is for the element(does not work)..one is a universal remote for my windstrem cable..(cant find the code0...the other is a ge universal(codes listed do not work)...any help?

Hi,
among the above remotes it is easy to program GE universal remote,
because it has inbuilt code detection program(sucess rate is more than 80%)
If your TV, VCR, DVD, etc. does not respond after you have tried all the codes
for your brand or if your brand is not listed, try searching for your codes by
following the steps below.
1. Turn on the device you wish to program.
2. Press and hold CODE SEARCH/SETUP until the INDICATOR
LIGHT lights, then release.
3. Press and release the device button for the device you are
programming (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.). The INDICATOR LIGHT will
blink once then remain lit. For AUX, press AUX then the device
button you are assigning to AUX.
or try some branded universal remote like philips PH301s,sony RM-VL700 and 900 etc.
I hope that they will solve your problem
regards,
cseian.

My remote is driving me CRAZY!!!!!!!

1) Manually turn on the device to be controlled.
2) Press and hold CODE SEARCH button until the red indicator stays on, then release the CODE SEARCH button.
3) Press and quickly release the desired mode button (TV, VCR etc.) . The red indicator blinks off once.
4) Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly ( up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks off with each button press. If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press the CHANNEL DOWN button to backtrack through the library until the device changes channel. Pressing CHANNEL UP changes direction forward again.
5)Press and release MUTE to install the code.

Hope it helps~

Code for my philips remote P435S

http://www.remotecodelist.com/remotes/magnavox/Philips-Magnavox_PM525S.pdf
This is the user's manual for a Phillips remote control. There is a list of codes in it. They should be rather universal. There's also instructions as to how to program it. I believe that there is a way to program it without using the codes.

Programming with Code Search

1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.

2. Press and hold Code Search button until the red indicator stays on. Release the Code Search button.

3. Press and release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blink, then stays lit.

4. Press the Channel Up button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device could be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit. If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press the Channel Down button to backtrack through the library until the device changes channel. Pressing Channel Up changes direction to forward again. Press and release the Mute button to install the code.

Hope this helps :)
