Kenmore Dryer Have a Kenmore Dryer and you have to hold the Start button to keep it running. It is 5 yrs old and everything under the sun was replaced at one point. It will turn on when you press the button- and as soon as you let go- it shuts off. The vent is clear. Last time I believe Sears replaced the control panel. We did not renew the warranty. Please advise! Thank you

The start button works like a push-on switch that engages the timer switch. It's all one unit. It isn't engaging because the internal lever the engages the switch is either broken or worn out. The start timer/switch will need to be replaced.
